NOTES: Wilfred’s (Bill) service records show that he served in Ceylon and New Guinea.  I remember him talking about being on the Kokoda Trail. He said that he slipped in the mud and at the same time the soldier behind him was hit by a sniper’s bullet.  He worked as a dairyman and woodcutter after the war. (S.Hore, niece)
